Foundry Spherical Sand, also named Fused Ceramic Sand, Ceramsite Sand , is a high-performance artificial spherical foundry sand independently developed and produced in China. It is manufactured with high-quality bauxite as the main raw material, through high-temperature electric melting, atomization ball forming, screening and special treatment.
Thanks to its round grain shape, the specific surface area is smaller, which greatly reduces the consumption of resin and binder, lowers gas evolution and effectively avoids casting defects such as veining, burn-on sand, porosity, core breakage and dimensional deformation. It has excellent fluidity and filling performance, perfectly suitable for complex thin-wall castings, especially automobile engine blocks, cylinder heads, hydraulic parts and automotive precision components.
In addition,Spherical Foundry Sand shows outstanding reusability and shakeout performance, with a high sand reclamation rate. It is non-toxic, low in free silica dust, environmentally friendly and able to improve the working environment of foundry workshops. It is widely used in shell molding, cold box process, furan resin sand and 3D printing sand casting processes, and has become a mainstream high-quality raw sand for high-end iron casting, steel casting and non-ferrous metal casting worldwide.

. Core Applications
- Automotive Castings
Widely used for engine blocks, cylinder heads, crankshafts, gearbox housings, water jacket cores, oil passage cores and chassis parts. Solves veining, burn-on sand, core cracking and dimensional deviation of thin-wall complex cores.
- General Iron & Steel Castings
Suitable for gray iron, ductile iron, alloy steel and carbon steel castings. Replaces silica sand, chromite sand and zircon sand to reduce casting defects and production costs.
- Hydraulic & Pump Valve Parts
Ideal for intricate inner cavities, thin-walled hydraulic components, pump bodies and valve castings; excellent fluidity ensures dense mold filling and smooth casting surface.
